The Family
Coming from a long line of winemakers, Henri Cruchon founded the estate in 1976. He was soon joined by his sons Michel and Raoul. Together, and with the support of their wives Denise, Anne, and Lisa, they developed the estate and laid the foundation for what it is today.
In 2010, the next generation joined the family business. Catherine Cruchon, a winemaker and the eldest daughter of Lisa and Raoul, joined the estate. Yaëlle and Laura followed, bringing their energy and expertise to the vineyard alongside their father, Michel.
Today, Domaine Henri Cruchon is a vibrant family enterprise where different generations come together, complement one another, and move forward as one.

Each line reflects a different aspect of our vision of wine: terroir, grape variety, or the pure expression of the natural process. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that wine must, above all, respect nature, reveal its secrets, and foster a sense of togetherness.

Our Team
Being a winemaker is about much more than just cultivating vines and turning grapes into wine. It means mastering every step of a demanding process—from the vineyard to the glass—including winemaking, packaging, and connecting with those who enjoy the wines.
While technical knowledge is essential, the profession relies above all on expertise, experience, precision in execution, and teamwork. In addition to these skills, the role also involves management, logistics, marketing, sales, and customer service.
At Domaine Henri Cruchon, each person contributes their own perspective and expertise. It is this synergy of skills and values that gives the team its strength and the wines their consistency.

Biodynamics
Convinced that only respect for living things allows a terroir to fully express itself, the entire vineyard is cultivated biodynamically, without the use of any chemicals.
The Biodynamic Method
Inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s teachings in 1924, biodynamic farming goes beyond organic farming. No chemicals, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers are used. The vines are tended using plant-, animal-, and mineral-based preparations, similar to those used in homeopathy.
These energized preparations enhance the vitality of the soil and plants. They nourish the soil and boost the vines’ natural resistance.
Biodynamic farming follows cosmic rhythms. The moon, the planets, and the constellations directly influence plants, which remain sensitive to these natural cycles.
This approach creates a harmonious environment where the vines can flourish to their fullest potential. The results are sometimes spectacular: intense colors, deep aromas, and pronounced minerality.
